No Regrets!

No Regrets is the way I have claimed to have strove to live my life. In truth I have been living a half life. I have been afraid to fly. It was easier to walk the dusty roads that were well worn and well traveled than to make my own path with the clouds of my dreams. It took me over ten years to face this facet of myself and decide to be brave and leap off the cliff and see whether or not I would fly. I tell you all this to say that I am scared shitless and flying is scary but being scared has never stopped me before and it will not stop me now. So welcome to my blog. The chronicles of my beginning as an artist.

Creepy!!!

So I have this idea book with this multitude of project ideas. One of the ideas that I had came from this creepy picture that i seen of this creature that was all white. The artist used only light and shadows to give it this ghastly look. So of course I was encouraged to do something that was creepy yet used just the shadows to make a 'something". My art ideas tend to wander as i draw and take on a life of their own and this one did just that. Below is what I end up doing with my Wacom Tablet its my what i would consider my first piece of real art work created with it. Again if you havent tried one out its cheap enough you should it has literally changed the way I do my work and I am just getting started!! I hope you like it. Till next time. -If you don't already do it keep an art journal you never know where you next big idea will come from

Lubdub... Lubdub... lubdub...

I think I have finally found my rhythm with consistently doing my art work.  The key for me is to not work on one thing for far too long.  I have maybe an hour or more to concentrate than I find myself getting distracted by outside influences so I have decided that when  I work I have to have two items to work on not just one.  Once my times up with the first I can go to the second and I will have done much more than I normally would have and if I'm not too sleepy cause I tend to work at night I can go back and forth.

My work with the tablet has been growing.  I have already done my first couple sketches.  Hand/Eye coordination is a must with this item being that I want to use it not like I would photoshop but as a digital canvas.  The coral program that came with it is way beyond anything I have ever worked with so the adjustment is going to be extreme but I feel I am up to the challenge.  This by no means means that I am giving up my real life projects if anything I've rededicated myself to the idea that I want to be a comic book artist.  I feel super inspired at the moment.

I did want to share some awesome work i seen online with you all.  I am a lover of paper and as you know I do cards once a year ( this year being excluded).  Anywho there is this awesome artist who has managed to sculpt paper.  The link is below with the screen captures of my latest stuff... I hope you like. Until next time.

The Return

My Hiatus is over... I was having creators block and an emotional down turn.  Who knows what was going on, but I am going to find out ( when I find out I'll let you know).  NOW that I am back to driving my own vehicle to my future again as opposed to sitting on the side of the road.  I am happy to report I am back to drawing and taking pictures.  I have several projects that I am working on outside of doing the interior design of my apartment. Here is a few snap shot of the work I've done over the last couple weeks.

FYI if you do not have a Wacom Tablet you should get it, I just bought mine and its literally going to change my artistic life.
